I have a 1.6 TDCI 2007 C-max, when I accelerate (foot to the floor) a hell of a lot of black smoke comes out the back. As soon as I release off the accelerator and just travel at the speed I'm at, the black smoke reduces massively. If I sit in the car and rev upto 3-4k RPM then minimal black smoke comes out the back.
