The completely random framedrops are what makes the stuttering unbearable. I'll be inside a building or even on a menu and suddenly my framerate will drop 60+ frames. It's very jarring to go from 120 fps to 40, then back again. I have tried all the normal stuff, verified my files, reinstalled the game, turned off all overlays, etc etc.

In other words, AC Brotherhood was the first truly open-world Assassin's Creed. For gameplay enthusiasts, it was the best game of the series, especially since the next two games, Revelations and AC3, were more story-focused.
I prefer Brotherhood to Revelations, but there's no question that Revelations was the better game. It has a much better story, better characters, better mechanics and gameplay, better AI (somewhat), better graphics and world design, Altair, and most importantly better main missions. That last one is an opinion of course, many levels encouraged
